Every time football season rolls around I always wind up with the same thoughts.
I try to watch with the husband but I lack the focus to sit there and watch people run for two seconds, get hit, and repeat...can't do it. Sometimes I'll think their uniforms are pretty.
Anyhoo..
This is my random football thought...weird that I even have a football thought...
As I piss off Alabama fans.... ( I apologize, but well...) Anytime someone says, or I see, "Crimson Tide" ... I laugh and think about the entire team being on their period. "Yeah, it's that time of the month, my crimson tide has come in.." An entire team of hormonal pissy players ready to beat the crap out of anyone who gets in their way...might be a good thing right?
Then I envision a giant team tampon running out onto the field during half time to do a special dance.
And then I laugh..... and even though you may not think it's funny....guess what you will be thinking the next time you see or hear "crimson tide" .... you're welcome. :)
Now I have that Steely Dan song stuck in my head x^(

DeleteUgh. I hate football, seriously I do not understand why watching sports on television is a thing. I used to play just about every sport and loved doing it, but sitting there watching it? What is the point of that?! Also I agree with your period assessment. So I guess if I did like to watch sports I would support Alabama because seriously, no one messes with a woman on her period.
ReplyDeletelol! if you have to watch you need to find some way to entertain yourself. the husband doesn't want a lot of yip yap during game so this is what runs through my brain as i slowly zone out!
